MT COTTON HILLCLIMB SERIES - Round 1- 2-3 March, 2019

It was a spectacular start to the 2019 year at Mt Cotton Hillclimb with a good field of competitors in a great variety of cars getting 12 runs for the weekend in conditions which were mostly good but with a couple of light showers just to keep them all on their toes. During the event,
one record was broken - by Philip Dalton who improved his own record time in the Road Registered Sedan 1601-2000cc class from 49.53 to 48.96.
The hillclimb specials put on a great show with both Warwick Hutchinson and Ed McCane going under 40s for the first time in their current cars. Both had already joined the Under 40s Club in the previous car but the thrill was just as great second time around for both of them as it was for the spectators.
Warwick Hutchinson won Fastest Time of day with a 39.81 while Ed \McCane took his turn at the top - this time in the Top Six with a 39.73.
Best MG Award went to Peter Andrews and Most Improved to Jeremy Mattea.

Next round of the series is on 23/24 March. Don't miss it! The standard has been set for a great year of hillclimbing at Mt Cotton.
