COME N TRY TEST N TUNE HILLCLIMB - 11 February, 2024

Rain during the week and on Saturday did not give great hope for a successful event. However the conditions on Sunday were a bright day and a dry track for the new drivers.

Those in the Come N Try component of the meeting enjoyed many runs both under instruction and then when the trainers were satisfied all were ready,  the new drivers drive solo.

Thank you to the instructors  - Jeff, Warwick, Noel, Brett, Greg and Denis.

Test and Tune component was an opportunity just to test their set up of their cars rather than set a land, air or speed record.

Drivers testing their open wheeler cars included were Ed McCane, Matt Read, Jim Milliner, Ross Mackay, Ian Rennick and Connor Tebble having a trial in father Greg’s Speads with an impressive 42.86 time.

Sharing the multi coloured Mitsubishi Charade were Cec Morgan, Gary Worral, Jay Worral and Miki Worral.

Arron Steuart mastered the art of getting the old Ford Anglia off the start line, difficult especially with a tall differential ration.

Other sedans included Jim Hobson (Fiat Abarth), Richard Marken (Peugeot), Andrew Harris (BMW)

Sports cars saw Ally Walker (MGB), John Jones (Toyota 86), Jim Heymer (Farrel) and the Mazda Mx5 cars of Jeff Graham, Ian Power and Blair Jedras.
