MT COTTON HILLCLIMB SERIES, Rd 5, 1-2 September, 2018
 

This was a weekend of mixed fortunes during which the highlight was the battle between Dean Tighe and Michael von Rappard for Fastest Time of Day. During the contest, between them they posted 9 sub 38sec times with Michael coming out the victor by only 0.13s from Dean.

Their final times were 37.54 and 37.67! There were other good times posted over the weekend with Geoff Cohen being successful in breaking his class record a number of times.

Sadly, the competition day finished early after an  unfortunate incident over the finishing line forced the Clerk of Course to close the event. This resulted in there, once again, being no running of the Top Six which had the potential to be another close battle.
