BEARING
REPLACEMENT IN 29D4 and 29D6 DISTRIBUTORS (May 1973)
As from production date 3/73 on all the above
distributors, the procedure for the removal of the bearing has
been changed i.e. the bearing is now removed through the top of
the housing.
Any attempt to remove the bearing through the
bottom of the housing will damage the body beyond repair.
NOTE: When pressing out bearings, the inner
thrust face of the housing assembly must be supported so that no
load is exerted on the cap mounting spigot.
