RACE MEETINGS
According to reports kept by Ken Ebeling, the
Club held its first race meeting at Strathpine on Saturday,
8th October, 1955, not all that long after the club
was formed.
After Strathpine closed, there was a break
until 11/12 November, 1978, when the Club returned to promoting
race meetings. Since 1978, the Club has promoted at least one,
but mostly two, race meetings each year. These meetings were
held at Lakeside, Surfers Paradise and Queensland Raceway and
are now held at Morgan Park at Warwick.
In 2010, the Club will be promoting the first
round of the Queensland State Championship rounds at Morgan Park
on 13/14 March. We have members competing in most Championship
categories and also a number competing in regularity events in
which a driver aims to drive as closely as possible to his/her
nominated time.
