The Club had
outstanding success at the National Meeting organised by the MG Car
Club Ltd (NSW) and held over Easter at Tamworth.
The Club won the major trophy, the John Wratten Memorial Trophy, and
also the second major trophy, the Nuffield Oceania Trophy.
As well as this, Cathy Bartley won the Joan Richmond Trophy, John
Walker won the Chris Dodds Memorial Trophy (MGB GT V8 Register),
Peter Rayment won the Golden Gudgeon (T type), Ross Kelly won the TC
Owners Club Perpetual Pre-War Plate and the Club's magazine was
awarded second in its class. Gary and Julie Kunst were outright
winners of the Touring Assembly.
Peter Roberts added to the Club's successes by winning the raffle
which had as its prize a framed print of the MGA Twin Cam which
celebrated its golden anniversary this year.

There were many class winners and placegetters in many events and
these accumulated the points earning the Club the two major
trophies. Details of these winners and placegetters will be
published here later and also in the Octagon.
Here are some photos from this
year's Nationals. Please click the section below to go to
the photos of that event. The photographer did not go on the Kimber Run
or Touring Assembly so has no photos of these events. If anyone
has
photos, could they please send them to Elaine at
